The basics of medical nutrition:

We’ve been indoctrinated to believe that healing is a sophisticated, complicated process. But, in fact, healing is as easy as breathing.

We work directly with the renowned Dr. Peter Glidden ND who ardently believes that if you give the human body what it needs, it can heal itself.

Medical doctors are trained to administer synthetic pharmaceuticals which have never existed before in nature; brand new, man-made molecules are introduced in vain to the body’s natural biochemistry in order to try and control and subvert the metabolism of the body. They believe that the only answer is to over ride and control the natural metabolic processes of the body with synthetic drugs.

In order for the body to fix itself, there are three things that are necessary.

1. 90 essential Nutrients – give the body the high quality raw materials that it needs (we recommend Youngevity products)

2. Good food/bad food – stop eating food that hurts the body and start eating food that are beneficial; foods that allow you to absorb nutrients.

3. Antioxidants – A certain amount of antioxidants are needed every day to offset the aging process.

That’s it, nothing complicated. Healing is easy.

You don’t need to teach your body how to grow or digest food. It does it all by itself. The same goes for healing.

The most fundamental and hardest thing to get is that healing is easy.

75% of the body’s nutrient needs are minerals. Plants and animals don’t make minerals they are in the soil that plants grow in. If the minerals aren’t in the soil, they aren’t in the food.

Minerals are not evenly distributed in the soil; you either have them in your soil or you don’t. There is nowhere on earth that has soil that contains all needed minerals.

This means that EVERYONE is nutritionally deficient unless you are supplementing with high quality proven supplements.

Illnesses stem from your body running out of these essential nutrients.

MDs do not know this because they are not trained in nutrition.

Flu Is Not A Season

Now that summer has come to an end, we all know what that means: flu season is starting. It is starting, and there is nothing that any of us can do about it? Or is there…? Well, technically none of us can control the weather, but there are ways that we can make our immune systems stronger against the oncoming germ attacks.

One of the key steps, is to make sure we eat enough protein. Protein is the foundation for our immune systems, and allows us to build things like T-cells and B-cells to protect the body. Then, we want to add in extra nutrients and antioxidants. These extra nutrients include: selenium, zinc, copper, and silver. Antioxidants are measured in a unit called ORAC. ORAC stands for oxygen radical absorbance capacity. This indicates the amount of carcinogens, pathogens, and free-radicals that a certain amount of antioxidants can counter. Normally, a person should get 20,000 ORAC units every day. This has been shown in many long-living societies to be the number that they (mostly by chance) consume. Clinicians, doctors, and researchers have also seen great medical benefit in using as much as 100,000 ORAC units in people with conditions such as cancer, and M.S. ORAC helps boost the immune system so that these problems are minimized, then the protein-derivatives are responsible for any bacterial or viral leftover.

However, it is best to reduce the bacterial and viral leftovers. How do we do this? Well, by washing your hands, of course!

Use warm water to rinse your hands first; this water should be 100-105 degrees in temperature. Then, apply soap and lather for 20-30 seconds, remembering to get under nails, between fingers, and on the wrists (if not all the way up the forearms). Rinse the soap off, then and dry your hands. Do not touch the sink with your now-clean hands! Use a dry, unused paper towel to turn off the sink.

Taking out certain foods are imperative, as well. Gluten, fried food, oil in a bottle, BPA, preservatives in meat, well-done meat, and processed sugar can all cause significant damage to the immune system, and the body. While most are free-radicals and carcinogens, gluten works against the body’s immune system to suppress it, and produce histamine. Histamine causes inflammation and other effects which minimize the ability of the body to properly combat illness.

Eat the right foods, stay away from the wrong foods, and wash your hands. Seems pretty easy when you look at it like that.
